Water States
Noken, a subsidiary of the Porcelanosa Group and a specialist in bathroom design, presented its new concept “Water States” in an innovative way during an alternative fair held alongside CEVISAMA in Valencia, where professionals and leading brands from around the world gather to showcase their latest developments. In collaboration with Exit Agency and Vitamin, Noken developed an experiential space illustrating water in its three physical states — gas, liquid, and solid — while also introducing a creative fourth state.
Visitors embarked on a meticulously designed journey through the installation. They first encountered the “gas” state, represented by interactive vapor clouds manipulated through video mapping and enhanced with steam from fog machines.
The “liquid” state came to life through two interactive experiments: a kinetic installation composed of 77 copper spheres and infinite mirrors, and a real-time digital water simulation over a moldable sand canvas, manipulated via projection and a depth camera. Finally, the “solid” state, represented by ice, employed mirrors in polygonal shapes to create a Voronoi pattern, with Noken’s new faucet line as the centerpiece, displayed on mirrored polygonal pedestals. The entire experience created an immersive environment where technology, design, and concept merged seamlessly.
